I Wish I Knew You

I wish I knew you.
Who you are,
who you were,
where you came from,
mabye what you like to do
but, here I am wondering,
and all I have to base my thoughts on
is a subtle action.
mabye a lil talent,
this being of a caliber that I have yet to encounter
in a person even close to my age.
I look at you
what you're wearing
what you're doing as you walk in front of me
put down your pen,
pick it up again,
and place it onto a piece of paper.
I wonder if you are as cool as you seem
someone who could be,
a new friend,
maybe even a new enemy.
what would it be like to have you in my life?
I would really like to know,
But instead,
I let the whole night go by
not saying a word,
and walk out the door,
as if I had never thought twice about
you
or your being.
And the funny thing is all I know really
is your name.
I wish I knew you.
Should I have just let you walk away?
